Coastal surf scene, again using modular elements scanned from my illustrations that were made with this Dreamsurf game app in mind.

It's really difficult to accomplish the actual feeling and vibe that I have for the game app environment. 

Watching the movie "Happy Feet" last night I noticed how there were a couple of large snow-ice mountains during a song scene, and although tall and impressive, the snow-ice mountains were somehow quite benevolent and happy, peaceful, protective. 

The process of accomplishing valuable work, or emotionally accurate work is usually quite long, or demanding, I suppose. Sometimes it is a momentary inspiration.

As regards illustrations of happy people dancing or lounging with a martini in their hand, I can often accomplish this fairly easily.

Landscape is another thing, however. I notice there is a sense of emotion in a landscape illustration. It's strange. I would prefer that it is quite simply a landscape environment illustration, and not read anything more into it. And that is fine, except that somehow landscape illustration brings a sense of place, even if the idea is merely an imagined landscape.

This may all sound a bit airy-fairy and I would prefer things were just simpler and easier. With more experience this could happen. I do think it is currently a challenge to capture the sense of peaceful and actively happy vibe with the work.

Perhaps the key is to utilise a combination of foreground, mid-ground and background elements.
